Refer back to here for a larger version. The tummy symbols/belly badges indicate who lives where. I have a few original characters, though I did reuse tummy symbols/belly badges for most of them.
Places:
Paradise Isle: This floating cloud island is where the four original founders live: True Heart Bear, Noble Heart Horse, Perfect and Polite Panda. In this reality True Heart is pure white and Noble Heart is black with a rainbow-colored mane and tail. Perfect and Polite are black and white (with grey heart noses) and are called Gramps and Grams respectively (though they aren't any less active than anyone else despite looking older). There is a lighthouse on this island as well as a gondola.
Lovelight Isle: This floating cloud island is where the four leaders of the Bears and Cousins live: Tenderheart Bear, Love-A-Lot Bear, Brave Heart Lion, and Healing Heart Tiger. It has a lighthouse and a gondola that match those on Paradise Isle.
Tenderheart is a dark red in this reality and Brave Heart is more of a red-orange. Healing Heart is a female tiger who's special caring mission is to help heal broken hearts. She's also an accomplished physician and can take care of any and all illnesses. She is bright green (with darker green stripes). Her symbol looks like Smart Heart's. Oopsy Bear, who is a cub still, also lives here. He looks more or less like usual, but is chartreuse with darker green freckles. He still doesn't have his own symbol yet, but this will change in time.
Pleasant Sea: The weather on this sea is always pleasant and sunny. It's just perfect for surfing, sailing, and diving. The Rainbow Reef is in this sea.
Adventure Beach: The perfect place to have a little fun and adventure! The residents on the beach itself are Funshine Bear, Playful Heart Monkey, and Cheer Bear. Swift Heart Rabbit and Lots-A-Heart Elephant live at the edge of the beach.
Playful Heart is female and is a sort of medium-orange. Her symbol looks like Play-A-Lot's. Cheer has a six-color rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). Swifty is a female, bright yellow cub but otherwise is like usual. Lots-A-Heart is male like he was originally.
Their homes are: Funshine Island, Playful's Playground, Cheer's Perky Place, Swifty's Track, and Lotty's Gym.
Peaceful Sea: The weather on this sea is always peaceful and calm. The waves and wind are gentle and the sunrises and sunsets are particularly soothing. It's the perfect place just to relax or even to star gaze. On the land side of this sea live Friend Bear, Loyal Heart Dog, Giving Heart Kangaroo, Share Bear, Birthday Bear, and Treat Heart Pig.
Loyal Heart Dog is true blue, and his tummy symbol is like usual. He does have a white, heart-shape patch over his right eye and a white tail tip (much like this). Giving Heart Kangaroo is a female kangaroo with cream fur. Her symbol look like the Great Giving Bear's. Treat Heart Pig is a male and a cub, but is otherwise similar to the original.
Their homes are: Friend's Garden, Loyal's Farm, Giving's Gift Shoppe, the Share Shack, Birthday's Party Place, and Treat's Dessert Parlor. Treat usually gets help from Share and Birthday and helps them and the others as well.
Joyful Sea: The weather is always exuberant. The waves and wind are always playful and the weather is bright and happy. It's the next best place to Pleasant Sea for surfing, sailing, and fun. On the land side of this sea live Proud Heart Cat, Hopeful Heart Wolf, Surprise Bear, Merry Bear, Joyful Heart Macaw, and Thankful Heart Tanuki.
Proud Heart Cat is dark cyan with a white tip to her tail and white paw-hands and paw-feet (like this). Her symbol, however, is a loving cup, much like Champ Bear's, but it has her usual heart and star motif instead of just a red star. Hopeful is a male, bright green wolf with Hopeful Heart Bear's symbol. Surprise is a hot pink male cub (though his belly symbol doesn't change). Merry is a female, mulberry cub with Laugh-A-Lot's belly symbol. Joyful is an adult female scarlet macaw. She is primarily bright red but has typical scarlet macaw colors. She has Shine Bright Bear's symbol. Thankful is a male wisteria tanuki with darker and lighter purples.
Their homes are: Proud's Treehouse, Hopeful's Sunny Spot, the Joke Shop (shared by Surprise and Merry), Joyful's Roost, and Thankful's Place.
River of Love: Surrounding the interior of Care-a-Lot, the River originates in the Moody Mountains. While it is a bit more turbulent closer to its source, by the time it reaches the Pleasant Sea it is quite calm and clear. Within the River are the Emerald Isle and Isle of Music where Good Luck Bear and Harmony Bear reside. The two islands are linked to the land side by magical bridges - the Emerald Bridge and the Rainbow Bridge.
Forest of Feelings: A generally pleasant place, this area is completely wooded, but its paths are bright and there are plenty of sunny meadows where picnics can be had. The weather is usually pleasant, but it can sometimes be gloomy or cold, depending on season. The plants and weather in the forest are very sensitive to the feelings of those within and can be altered by very powerful emotions.
Restful Lake: A quiet, clear lake in the center of a clearing at the heart of Care-A-Lot. The weather is perpetually calm, regardless of what's going on in the Forest. Around its peaceful shores are the homes of Bedtime Bear, Bashful Heart Rooster, Gentle Heart Lamb, Cozy Heart Penguin, and Daydream Bear.
Bashful is a baby blue rooster chick with a darker blue comb and waddles. He has Bashful Heart Bear's tummy symbol. Gentle is a female, mint lamb (an actual lamb, not an adult sheep), and Daydream is a cub as well. Her color is a purple about halfway between Share's and Thankful's.
Their homes are: Bedtime's Dream Cave, Bashful's Hideaway, Gentle's Soft Spot, Cozy's Cuddly Corner, and Daydream's Thoughtful Place.
Sleepy Forest: This forest is always peaceful and generally quiet. Light in it is low by day, almost as if it's perpetually twilight, though the trees and some other plants give off a pleasant, restful glow at night. While things are quiet, the birds in the forest sing lullabies and all other sounds are similarly relaxing. Though it can make a person fall asleep (especially at night), once the person is refreshed the forest instead bestows a feeling of calm and well-being. It's impossible to worry or panic while under the influence of the woods.
Worrisome Woods: These woods seem normal at first, but the longer a person remains in them the more likely they are to be overcome with a feeling of worry that can lead to panic. It's very easy to get lost due to second-guessing paths. Though the effect can be fought and resisted, it takes a lot of self-confidence to do so. Shrieky and her Shriekies live near this woods. Shrieky's ego ensure she's never affected, but she finds other people getting lost in it hilarious.
Gloomy Glen: This glen is almost always overcast and it is filled with weeping willows and similar types of trees. Unlike the Worrisome Woods, it has no actual power to affect the mood of anyone in it, but it's natural gloominess tends to do so anyway. Grumpy, however, tends to enjoy being in it with his Care-A-Van, and Beastly and his Beasties live in a cave in it.
Moody Mountains: These tall mountains have extremely unpredictable weather, and their peaks are perpetually covered in snow. Grumpy, however, likes them. They are also the home to Bright Heart Raccoon and Wish Bear.
Their homes: Brighto's Lab, Wish's Observatory.
Brighto's Lab is on Inspiration Point, the second-highest place in the Moody Mountains. Unlike the rest of the Mountains, the weather is always sunny and bright during the day with fluffy white clouds that take on shapes as they're viewed. It also has the best sunrises and sunsets, though nights are always dark and stormy. Underneath Inspiration Point is the cave from which the River of Love originates.
Wish's Observatory is on Shooting Star Peak - the highest place in the Moody Mountains. Unlike the rest of the Mountains, the weather is always crystal clear at night, making perfect conditions for stargazing from dusk until dawn. Days are always gloomy, however. Both she and Brighto have connecting tunnels between their residences and know of several ways off the Mountain should the weather become too much.
Querulous Sea: The weather on this sea is continuously stormy with rough, choppy waves and gale-force winds. Fortunately the sea usually keeps this sort of weather to itself, but every once in awhile a particularly strong storm will head to Care-A-Lot. Grumpy can always sense this, however, and gives warning accordingly.
Sorrowful Sea: The weather on this sea is perpetually rainy, though it can range from drizzles to downpours. It is never stormy, however, and the sea is a slate grey and seems to lack energy. During the winter it often freezes over, but any weather coming from it always brings either just rain or snow, never a storm. While Grumpy can sense this too, he rarely bothers giving any sort of warning unless it's an extreme event.
